About “Mawari-Doro”
This lamp is called ” Mawari-Doro ” (Turning lantern ) . In Japan they are traditionally used in Buddhist ceremonies in August to commemorate our ancestors. Originally , many turning items come from Tibetan Buddhism, which represent the philosophy of re-incarnation . We have modified those religious lanterns for your casual enjoyment .
Lanterns are hand made from natural materials and are powered by a 40 watt light bulb (included).
